Requirements and limitations

In Italy, a Medical Specialisation School is a postgraduate specialist training programme for medical doctors. Joint attendance is permitted only in accordance with current legislation (Art. 18 of the University Regulations on PhD programmes; Art. 7 of Ministerial Decree No. 226/2021). How to apply

At the time of enrolment, successful candidates must complete and upload the relevant form, together with a valid identity document, as part of the online enrolment procedure.

Verification and completion of enrolment

Enrolment in the PhD programme can be completed only following a positive assessment by the governing bodies of both programmes. The assessment is aimed at verifying the compatibility of the activities and workload required by the specialisation school and the PhD programme, also taking into account the distance between the two locations.

The decision of the Specialisation School Council, confirming the activities carried out during the medical specialisation programme and the compatibility of the PhD project with the educational objectives of the School, will be obtained directly by the University.
