Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
Published by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, this ranking evaluates academic performance. It compares over 2,500 universities worldwide and ranks 1,000 of them.
In the 2023 edition, the University of Pisa was ranked between 151 and 200 in the world and between 2 and 4 in Italy.
In addition to the global ranking, the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy also draws up a ranking by discipline – ARWU of Academic subjects.
