The University of Pisa encourages and supports the creation of innovative start-ups, contributing to Italy’s social, economic and cultural development.
As of 31 December 2025, there were:
- 34 accredited companies.
- 125 awards won by currently accredited spin-offs.
How to propose a Spin-Off
Applications for accreditation or renewal of the University of Pisa Spin-Off / Start-Up brand can be submitted by:
Academic staff (including those on fixed-term contracts) and technical-administrative staff via the Start page
- PhD students, research fellows and contract holders, and students, who should write to spinoff@unipi.it
