The Nursing degree program prepares professionals to excel in the prevention, care, and protection of both individual and public health.   Students develop the skills to identify lifestyle habits, reactions to illness, hospitalization, and care interventions, and to effectively address the needs of the patients they assist. Graduates are responsible for general nursing care and work in multi-professional teams, contributing to the training of support staff. The course of study includes the acquisition of the theoretical and practical bases for nursing, with laboratory activities and simulations. The course also focuses on the in-depth study of medical and surgical disciplines, pharmacology, psychology, and health legislation, with internships in medical and surgical departments. In the third year, students concentrate on advanced skills, including care in operating theatres, palliative care, emergency rooms, resuscitation, and intensive care. The degree qualifies graduates to work as nurses and gives access to the Master’s degree course in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences (LM/SNT1), as well as to First-level postgraduate degree courses.
