The Humanities degree course offers foundational knowledge in various disciplines of the humanities, spanning from antiquity to the present day as well as a solid oral and written practical knowledge in the Italian language, within the context of contemporary European culture. Humanities studies are interpreted according to today’s cultural and professional needs. They are enriched by the study of contemporary European and non-European cultures, as well as the acquisition of essential computer and telecommunication tools.  The course is divided into two curricula, Ancient and Modern, and features a didactic organization structured around monographic courses, seminars, tutorials, and workshops.  The main disciplines covered are:
  • Italian literature, contemporary Italian literature, glottology, general and Italian linguistics
  • Geography
  • Latin and Greek language and literature, foreign literature and languages
  • Classical, medieval and romance philology
  • Greco-Roman, medieval, modern, and contemporary history
  • History of philosophy, history of art, history of music
  • Literary criticism and comparative literatures
The Bachelor’s degree provides access to First-level postgraduate degree courses and Master’s degree courses, with the potential for pursuing a teaching career in schools.

- padronanza della lingua italiana e capacità di scrittura in lingua italiana;
