The University of Pisa focuses its actions and strategic choices on the objectives of the 2030 UN Agenda.

Since 2020, the University Commission for Sustainable Development (CoSA) has been established to address several key areas for implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.

The University of Pisa boasts the highest student-to-resident ratio among large universities, with approximately 46,000 students in a city of 90,000 residents. The university life unfolds across more than 150 buildings, both historic and modern, housing the activities of its 20 departments and providing dedicated spaces for students.

Dialogue and exchange with organisations and companies in our area is fundamental to promoting participation with a view to social and responsible innovation.

The University of Pisa is dedicated to developing regional projects and nurturing an innovation ecosystem by collaborating with key public and private stakeholders. It engages in ongoing dialogue with international university institutions and alliances to support these initiatives.
