ProArcheo Call

Through the ProArcheo Call for Proposals, starting in 2023, the University of Pisa will co-fund archaeological and geopaleontological research (excavations, surveys, and studies of artifacts) in Italy or abroad, whether such projects are already underway or newly initiated. External co-funding may come from both public and private entities.

The new call for proposals is divided into two distinct application options: the 2025 procedure, for activities carried out by December 31, 2025, or otherwise pertaining to the year 2025; and the 2026 procedure, for activities carried out by December 31, 2026. There are no restrictions on applying to both procedures.

Who May Apply

Permanent and fixed-term professors and researchers at the University of Pisa may apply. The research group may consist of professors, researchers, research fellows, research contract holders, postdoctoral fellows, research position holders, doctoral students, medical residents, students, and technical staff from the University of Pisa and other Italian or foreign universities or research institutions.

Detailed information on how to participate in the call for proposals is available at this link.
