Support to develop winning proposals

Every year, the University of Pisa, through its Research Promotion and Planning Unit, provides a structured and comprehensive support pathway for all young researchers interested in submitting an MSCA-PF proposal by choosing our University as host institution.

April: Publication of the University’s hosting offers on EURAXESS and the UNIPI website: a concrete opportunity to get in touch with UNIPI’s excellent research groups ready to welcome new talents.

April-June: Educational and informative online events tailor-made for candidates.

May: Operational toolkit to guide applicants and candidates in writing their proposals, with up-to-date materials and practical tools.

June-August: Customised proposal review cycle.

The support programme for 2026 is currently being developed and will be published soon.

9 April 2025 – National event with APRE (National Contact Point for Horizon Europe):
“How to write a successful MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships proposal in Horizon Europe”.
A practical guide to guide you in preparing your application, with useful tips and strategic indications directly from the experts.

27 May 2025, 10:00-11:30 a.m. – Promotion and Design Unit.
“Proposal template: Part A and Part B1 – Chapter 1: Excellence”

24 June 2025, 10:00-11:30 a.m. – Promotion and Design Unit.
“Proposal template: Part B1 – Chapter 2: Impact, Chapter 3: Quality and Efficiency of the Implementation and Part B2”

Revision of proposals: Individual candidates – identified and communicated to progettazione.ricerca@unipi.it before 30/06/2025 – will submit the complete proposals (print-out Part A and Part B1 and B2, all sections) to progettazione.ricerca@unipi.it by 20/08/2025. The Research Development Unit will conduct one round of revisions of the proposals and will provide feedback to individual candidates by 05/09/2025.

Support for MSCA-Seal of Excellence (SoE) winners

Researchers who have:

can participate in the University of Pisa’s MSCA Seal of Excellence@UNIPI call for proposals, which finances a maximum of five two-year research contracts and allocates an additional quota of 10,000 euros to start the project.

The Seal of Excellence@UNIPI 2026 call (related to the MSCA-PF 2025 call) will be published on this page between March and April 2026.
