The PRIN program (Research Projects of Significant National Interest) supports public research with the aim of strengthening the national scientific system and promoting participation in European programs. It funds complex projects that require collaboration among multiple researchers or institutions, with a flexible structure that may include only the Principal Investigator (PI) in specific fields.
The program is based on criteria of scientific quality, originality, and feasibility, and ensures adequate funding from the MUR for each disciplinary sector.
Below are the active projects funded at the University of Pisa, updated as of December 4, 2025.
