FISA - Italian Fund for Applied Sciences ~ UNIPI

FISA, established by the 2022 Budget Law with an initial allocation of 50 million euros for 2022—which is set to increase to 250 million starting in 2025—aims to promote the competitiveness of the national production system by supporting industrial research and experimental development; It complements the Italian Science Fund (FIS), which is dedicated to basic research.

FISA 2022 Call for Proposals

Among the proposals submitted by faculty members of the University of Pisa, the following projects received funding:

Project “ASIX – Analog Spectral Imager for X-Rays,” Prof. BALDINI (PI), National Institute of Nuclear Physics (HI), with the University of Pisa participating as an Affiliated Institution
Project “ARIA – Air-Breathing Rocket for Innovative Applications,” Prof. ANDREUSSI (Principal Investigator), who has moved to the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, which has replaced the University of Pisa as the Host Institution, with the University of Pisa participating as a Third Party
