For several years, the Technology Transfer Office has benefited from the contribution of Innovation Promoters, professionals selected through calls issued by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), aimed at strengthening the Technology Transfer Offices of Italian universities.
The role of the Innovation Promoter
The Innovation Promoter carries out competence scouting activities from the earliest stages of project development, anticipating possible protection and valorisation strategies and supporting inventors in subsequent technology transfer actions.
Industrial Property Diagnostic Service for SMEs
The Innovation Promoter also provides a free Industrial Property (IP) Diagnostic Service, promoted by the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) of MIMIT, in collaboration with universities and research bodies.
Industrial Property Diagnostic Service – University of Pisa – Complete the form
The service is aimed at Italian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and offers:
Companies may engage directly with the staff of the University’s Technology Transfer Office (TTO) on issues relating to the knowledge, protection, management and valorisation of industrial property.
…even without IP titles
The service is also available to SMEs that do not yet hold industrial property titles (patents, trademarks, etc.). The aim is to provide useful tools and guidance for developing an effective future protection and management strategy.
