Thesis Abroad

Each year, the University of Pisa offers mobility scholarships for graduating students who need to carry out part of their degree thesis preparation abroad, for a minimum period of two consecutive months, at foreign, EU, supranational or international institutions, organisations, companies or enterprises of adequate scientific and cultural standing.

The scholarships awarded for thesis preparation abroad are treated as employment income and are therefore subject to taxation (see table).

Call 2024

In 2024, 20 scholarships of EUR 2,000 each (gross amount, before administrative deductions) are available for students enrolled in Master’s Degree Courses and Single-cycle Master’s Degree Courses.
