Invest your talent in Italy scholarships

The Invest Your Talent in Italy programme is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), in collaboration with ICE – the Italian Trade Agency and Uni–Italia. The initiative aims to foster the internationalisation of the Italian higher education system and strengthen cooperation between universities and industry.

What the scholarship offers

The scholarship includes:

• financial contribution of €10,800, paid in quarterly instalments (Art. 11.1 of the call)
• exemption from university tuition fees, except for the regional tax for the right to study (€140.00) and stamp duty (€16.00)
• mandatory internship at an Italian company
• Italian language course offered by the University

Admission requirements

To apply, candidates must:

• hold a qualification suitable for enrolment in a Master’s degree or postgraduate programme
• provide certification of proficiency in English and Italian, as specified in Art. 3.4 of the call
• be born on or after 1 January 2000
• be permanently resident in one of the following countries: Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Mongolia, Paraguay, Peru, People’s Republic of China, Tunisia, Turkey, Uruguay, Vietnam
  submit the application within the deadline and be admitted to one of the programmes included in the initiative

For the academic year 2026/2027, the University of Pisa offers the following programmes within the Invest Your Talent in Italy scheme:

• Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (LM)
• Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering (LM)
• Master of Science in Bionics Engineering (LM)
• Master of Science in Computer Engineering (LM)
• Master of Science in Data Science and Business Informatics (LM)
• Master of Science in Digital Intelligence and Change Management (LM)
• Master of Science in Economics (LM)
• Master of Science in Exploration and Applied Geophysics (LM)
• Master of Science in Materials and Nanotechnology (LM)
• Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering (LM)
• Master of Science in Engineering of Paper and Cardboard (LM)

Application procedure and required documents

Applicants must submit two separate applications for the:

1. admission to the chosen Unipi degree programme included in the initiative
2. IYT scholarship through the online platform

The scholarship application requires entering personal data and uploading the following documents:

• transcript of records, including final grade or GPA (CGPA)
• English language certificate (minimum B2 level, CEFR)
• Italian language certificate or declaration of commitment to attend a course before departure
• motivational video (maximum duration: 59 seconds), in English or Italian
• CV (maximum one page)
• valid passport (in case of dual citizenship, both documents must be uploaded)

Documents must be in English, French or Spanish. Documents issued in other languages must be accompanied by an official translation.

Ranking list

During summer 2026, the IYT Technical Committee will inform successful candidates of the selection results via email, using the address provided during registration.

Duration and renewal of the scholarship

Beneficiaries of the IYT scholarship for the academic year 2025/2026 (10th edition) may apply for renewal through the online platform and upload the following documents by 20 July 2026:

• university transcript showing at least 30 ECTS credits obtained by 20 July 2026
• certificate of attendance of the Italian language course provided by the University
• internship declaration

Incompatibility

The IYT scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship or financial support granted by the Italian Government or any public institution (e.g. Erasmus+), including regional grants for the right to study (DSU scholarships).
