The DSU Toscana scholarship provides financial support to eligible students. The amount varies based on economic conditions and student status (on-site, commuter or off-site, depending on distance and travel time to the university).

The scholarship is open to students from any country who wish to enrol in, or are already enrolled in, a degree programme at the University of Pisa.
Applicants who already hold a qualification at the same level are not eligible. For example, candidates applying for a Master’s degree cannot be awarded the scholarship if they have already obtained a Master’s degree.
The required documents vary depending on the applicant’s category.
They must submit the documentation as described in Appendix B of the call for application:
All the documents must be translated in Italian language. The original documents and the ones translated in Italian must be legalized by the Italian Diplomatic Authority in your Country of origin.

They have the possibility to submit different documents. They must certify that they do not come from a prominently wealthy and socially elevated family. This certification must be issued by one of the following institutions:
The certification must be legalised by the Italian Prefecture.
The list of the countries considered particularly poor and developing is in Appendix C of the call for application.
They must submit the “Substitute declaration” concerning the real estate owned and the gross income received in a European Union country by each member of the household. The form is available in Appendix D of the call for applications.
In order to apply for DSU scholarship, you must register on “Sportello studente” portal and fill out the online application. form.
Provisional rankings are usually published by the end of September, while final ranking is published by the end of November each year.
For PhD and postgraduate students, timelines are slightly different:

No individual notifications will be sent. Students are responsible for checking the results online.
The DSU scholarship is not compatible with the Unipi merit scholarship.
