The Postgraduate Degree Course provides specialist training in radiation protection in accordance with the provisions of Italian Legislative Decree No. 101/2020. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills required for protection against ionising and non-ionising radiation, radiological risk assessment, dosimetry, the use of specialised equipment, and the application of national and European legislation in compliance with the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle. 

The course covers radiation physics, biological effects of radiation, measurement and spectrometry techniques, radiation protection in healthcare and industrial settings, nuclear engineering, shielding systems, and issues relating to safety, security and nuclear safeguards. 

Training also addresses environmental monitoring, radioactive waste management, the transport of radioactive materials, radiological emergency preparedness and response, risk communication, and radon remediation.

Regular students:

4000 € payable in 3 instalments

  • 1600 € no later than 23 November 2026
  • 1400 € no later than 15 January 2027
  • 1000 € no later than 15 April 2027

Auditing students:

2000 € in a single installment

Registration fee reductions are available for 5 students as specified in the call for applications.
