Project description

The Inter-University PhD programme in Advanced and Sustainable Agricultural-Forestry Systems (SAFAS) aims to train PhD graduates with a scientific and technical profile that appeals to academic institutions and research centres, both in Italy and abroad, as well as to public and private enterprises.

The competitiveness of these graduates will be ensured by their highly innovative and cutting-edge expertise in emerging technologies—ranging from digital technologies, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence, to sensors, robotics, drones, etc.

The programme also includes Pegaso scholarships, funded through the PR FSE 2021–2027, as part of the Giovanisì initiative promoted by the Regione Toscana.
