Writing and Defending the PhD Dissertation in the Age of AI: An Interdisciplinary Perspective

The course, structured into four sessions for a total of 16 hours, aims to provide advanced tools for PhD thesis writing, while promoting a critical, informed, and ethical use of artificial intelligence, as well as effective preparation for the final defence, within an interdisciplinary framework.

The sessions will be held in person from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the following dates at the CLAB classroom – “Le Benedettine” Campus, Piazza San Paolo a Ripa d’Arno, 16 – Pisa: May 8, May 15, May 22, and May 29.

Participation is limited to a maximum of 50 places. Applicants are therefore required to submit their application via the dedicated registration form (available at the following link: https://forms.gle/vkKNZ8Lb2wLU3T976), by April 20, 2026. Fifty percent of the places (n. 25) are reserved for PNRR-funded PhD candidates; the remaining places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Any places not filled within the PNRR quota will be reassigned according to the same chronological criterion.

Please note that, as this is a workshop, no certificate with assessment will be issued at the end of the course; instead, a certificate of participation will be provided.
