The PhD Programme (in line with the Italian Dottorato di Ricerca) is a postgraduate academic qualification representing the third cycle of higher education and research training within the Italian academic system, in accordance with the Bologna agreement.

It equips candidates with the skills and competencies required to conduct high-level research in universities, public institutions, and private companies. The programme also offers advanced professional and research-oriented training aimed at managing and leading technological development in major companies and organisations, both nationally and at the European/international level.

The overall objective is to train researchers and experts in innovative areas within the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
