Business and Human Rights: Tools for Responsible Management

Location

Online, with a final in-person event (and blended format activated if needed) at the University of Pisa.

Course Objectives

The program equips participants with specialized knowledge in business and human rights, focusing on the challenges companies face in this field. It provides tools to monitor and evaluate human rights and environmental due diligence processes in line with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and related regulations, while promoting responsible and sustainable business models.

Target Participants

Business owners, C-suite executives, managers, policy makers, and other decision-makers aiming to embed human rights and environmental due diligence into their organizational strategies.
Executive and project managers seeking to deepen their understanding of business and human rights frameworks in order to transition into purpose-driven leadership roles.
Heads of business units, departments, or country offices looking to navigate and respond effectively to human rights-related risks, obligations, and strategic opportunities.

Admission Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the subject, the course is open to graduates from all academic backgrounds. The course is in English. B2 level or above is recommended.

Duration

The course begins in November and runs over 8 non-consecutive weekends (Friday afternoons and/or Saturday mornings), totaling 21 hours. At the end of the program, a final event will be held in person at the University of Pisa, with the option to participate in blended mode.
