The project aims to promote the University of Pisa in Latin American and assist in welcoming its citizens who are interested in the educational offer of our University.
“Inclinados hacia America Latina” aims to facilitate and promote institutional dialogue and create partnerships with other universities and research institutions in Latin America. Furthermore, Latin American students have the chance to receive a scholarship to enrol in a Master’s Degree course at the University of Pisa.
The scholarship includes:
- exemption from tuition fees throughout the three-year study period;
- free canteen service (lunch only, Monday to Friday) for three years.
The project was launched in 2012 and has the following main objectives:
- encourage the internationalisation process of the University of Pisa towards Latin America;
- increase the number of Latin American students enrolling in degree courses, in particular in Master’s Degree courses, for which an ad hoc scholarship is provided;
- promote research, exchange of excellent staff and technological knowledge from Latin America to Italy and vice versa;
- foster dialogue with universities and research centres in Latin America;
- improve international relations with Latin American countries and develop a concept of cooperation and cultural integration between Europe and Latin America;
- promote the excellent talents of the University of Pisa, the city of Pisa, Tuscany, and Italy as a whole in Latin America.
