The University Sustainable Development Committee (CoSA), established in 2020, is at the heart of sustainability at the University of Pisa. Appointed by the Rector every two years, it brings together academic staff, members of the student community and technical-administrative staff who are united by a shared commitment to promoting a more sustainable University and engaging the entire academic community.
Its main task is to turn ideas and proposals into concrete actions, promoting projects related to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and providing guidance on University programmes. CoSA also participates in governance and coordination forums, contributing to sustainability policies at the local level.
A key aspect of CoSA’s work is communication: through events, guidelines and the sharing of good practices, it promotes a culture of sustainability and encourages responsible behaviour across the University community.
