Single Courses for asylum seekers

Asylum-seeking students who are at least 20 years old and wish to attend educational activities at the University of Pisa, for cultural or scientific updating purposes, can enrol in Single Courses offered within their Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree Courses, following a specific procedure.

General Information

If the chosen course belongs to a regulated-admission degree course, the reasoned request will be evaluated by the relevant academic body. In the event of a negative outcome, the stamp duty will not be refunded.

There are no deadlines for enrolling in Single Courses.

Credits obtained may be used to obtain further qualifications.

Enrolling in Single Courses is not compatible with enrolling in courses for the integration of credits required to access teacher training.

It is not possible to enrol for a number of CFUs lower than that provided by the educational offer for each activity.

The exams must be chosen from those offered by the University of Pisa in the same academic year of enrolment.

Procedure

Enrolment is done online via the Alice Portal: aguide with all the operational steps is available.

Before starting the procedure, it is necessary to prepare:

If the documents or images do not meet the requirements, the enrolment cannot be completed and the student will be notified via e-mail.

For payment exemption, please send an e-mail to corsisingoli@unipi.it and cooperations@unipi.it.

After completing the enrolment, a confirmation e-mail will be sent.

Student Card

Students enrolling in Single Courses can access all the services provided by the University, including an e-mail account, access to the University’s WiFi network, and the issuance of the Student Card, a badge with a photo and the student ID number.

The Student Card, equipped with RFID technology and magnetic stripe, is valid for accessing all university services, including the dining areas in the various university facilities managed by Ardsu Toscana, and can also be used as an ‘electronic wallet’.

The Card can be used in Tuscan university canteens from the day after it is issued.

The Student Card allows students attending any of the Tuscan Universities (University of Pisa, University of Florence, University of Siena, and University for Foreigners of Siena) to access all the services of the Right to Study, regardless of the university they are enrolled in.
