Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, the Degree Course in European Union, Global Processes and Sustainability of Development (LM-52) activates the Joint Master Programme in European Public Governance, an international multiple-degree pathway developed in collaboration with Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU Berlin) within the framework of the Circle U Alliance.
The Joint Master Programme in European Public Governance aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the current challenges faced by European democracies – such as climate change, economic inequalities and migration – as well as perspectives from different disciplines addressing both the formal and informal aspects of decision-making processes, including political science, law, history and economics.
Through this programme, selected students may obtain three degrees awarded by leading European universities: the Master’s Degree Course in European Union, Global Processes and Sustainability of Development at the University of Pisa, the Master en études européennes, à finalité spécialisée: EU Public Governance at Université catholique de Louvain, and the M.A. Sozialwissenschaften Global and European Transformations at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
In order to obtain the multiple degree, students enrolled in the LM-52 Master’s Degree Course at the University of Pisa must complete at least one semester of study abroad at each of the two partner universities. If a student attends only two of the three participating institutions, a double degree will be awarded.
