Bachelor’s and Single-Cycle Master’s Degree Courses – Non EU citizenship

The deadlines for enrolment in open-admission Bachelor’s Degree Courses and Single-Cycle Master’s Degree Courses run from 8 July to 31 December 2026.

Admission to Bachelor’s and Single-Cycle Master’s Degree Courses can be either open or regulated:

Open-admission courses administer non-selective test to assess initial preparation and personal aptitude to undertake the chosen course of study. The test result does not impact the ability to register for the chosen study programme, although it may lead to the allocation of educational debts that can be cleared through dedicated courses and/or pre-courses offered by the relevant departments.

Regulated-admission courses have a defined number of places that can only be obtained through a competitive selection.

Calls for applications for admission to these courses may include places reserved for non-EU citizens applying for visas: details can be found on the webpage of each course

Important information

To be included in the reserved ranking list, non-EU applicants requiring a study visa must complete the pre-enrolment application on the Universitaly portal by the deadline set in the call for application.
If the Universitaly pre-enrolment application is not completed by the deadline, the applicant will be included in the general ranking list instead of the reserved one.

To finalise registration, successful candidates must produce the student visa, letter D, issued by Italian diplomatic offices abroad.

In order to join the evaluation test or admission competition:

• register on the Alice Portal, create your personal profile and login credentials.
• log in and choose your course of study
• register for the evaluation test or admission competition.

To finalise registration:

• access the Alice Portal with your credentials
• from the menu select “Secretariat” and then “Choose a degree programme”
• upload the required documents
• pay the registration fee if you have not applied for a DSU scholarship. Payment can be made online via the PagoPA system or at a bank, post office, or authorised tobacconist’s (if you are in Italy) by printing out the payment notice.

Payment must be made no later than 31 December 2026. Information on instalments and deadlines can be found on the dedicated page.

If you register in a regulated-admission course, you must meet the deadline indicated for the course you been admitted to.

To complete enrolment, log in to the Alice portal and, under the “Residence Permits” section, select “Applicant Visa Status” and upload the following documents:

• a passport-sized photo (white background)
• a valid passport
• your secondary school diploma (original or certified copy)
• Dichiarazione di Valore (DOV – Declaration of Value), an official document issued by the Italian Embassy in your country, accompanied by an official translation of the diploma in Italian, authenticated or provided with an Apostille, and which provides a brief description of your university academic qualification issued by an institution belonging to an educational system other than the Italian one
  Or
• the Statement of Comparability, released by Cimea, the official Enic-Naric Centre for Italy. You can apply for certification via the DIPLOME platform reserved for students intending to enrol in a course at the University of Pisa. Create a personal account. In your profile you will find all the information on how to apply for certificates and the documentation you must submit. It will be possible to follow the status of requests and view certificates in pdf format in the “My Services” section. Both documents must result in at least 12 years of schooling overall and the qualification obtained must permit access to higher education locally
• the residence permit or a copy of the post office receipt  of the residence permit application
• your Italian long stay visa
• open badge or a language proficiency certificate
• receipt of the application for a scholarship submitted to the DSU if any.

For the enrolment in the academic year 2026/2027, the Italian language test will take place remotely. The test is compulsory for non-European citizens residing abroad who have applied for pre-enrolment through the Italian diplomatic mission in their country). More detailed information is available on the dedicated webpage.
