The IYT scholarship is offered by MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) and UNIPI. For the academic year 2025/2026, it includes:
- a net grant amounting to € 1,000 monthly for 9 months
- exemption from tuition fees
- a free Italian language course
- in-company training
The grant does not cover the regional tax for the Right to University Studies, stamp duty, any expenses relating to accident and/or third-party liability insurance, health insurance policy.
Who can apply
The scholarships of the programme Invest Your Talent in Italy are intended for students from the following countries: Armenia – Azerbaijan – Brazil – Colombia – South Korea – Egypt – Ethiopia – Ghana – India – Indonesia – Iran – Kazakhstan – Mexico – People’s Republic of China – Tunisia – Turkey – Vietnam.
Students must meet the following requirements:
- be born after 1 January 1998 (for the 2024/2025 call)
- have a university qualification eligible for enrolment in the chosen Master’s Degree Course
- possess a minimum B2 level English language certification within the framework of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL certifications are recommended.
Submitting the application and the documents needed
Interested students must submit two separate applications for:
- the scholarship, on the Farnesina website
- admission to the chosen course of study from among those included in the programme.
In addition, they must also submit the following documents:
- a university transcript with the list of examinations taken and grades (documents in English, Spanish and French are accepted)
- a certificate of first level qualification/Bachelor’s Degree (documents in English, Spanish and French are accepted)
- amotivational video (max 1 minute)
- CV
- English language certificate
- Italian language certificate – not compulsory, but if submitted it will be assessed and a score awarded
- valid passport.
Only students admitted to their chosen course of study are eligible for the Invest Your Talent in Italy programme scholarship.

Request for a grant
For the 2025/2026 edition, candidacy for the programme is open from 23 January until 24 February 2025.
Results
In mid-June of each year, students will receive an e-mail notification to the address provided during registration.
Incompatibility
The student who wins the IYT grant is not eligible for any other grants awarded by the University of Pisa.
