CURRENT RESEARCH FIELDS
▪ CFD analyses (ANSYS Fluent and STAR-CCM+) of heat transfer phenomena relevant for applications supporting the development of GEN IV LMFRs. Lead and LBE thermal-hydraulics analyses.
▪ Analysis of nuclear systems adopting STH codes (RELAP5)
▪ Multiscale STH/CFD calculations code coupling (RELAP5 and Ansys Fluent/STAR-CCM+) for the simulation of Liquid Metals systems
▪ CFD analyses (STAR-CCM+) and development of heat transfer correlations for supercritical fluids in support of the development of GEN IV SCWRs.
▪ Development of a Fluid-to-Fluid scaling methodology for heat transfer to supercritical fluids
