The University of Pisa has a special desk for students with Learning Disability.
The desk offers:
- support to the participants in admission exams or assessment tests;
- mediation interventions with lecturers in preparation for the exams;
- targeted tutoring for educational activities;
- information on enrolment procedures and entry tests;
- individual sessions of didactic counselling;
- detailed and up-to-date diagnosis and certification for students who do not have a diagnosis or whose diagnosis is out-of-date (i.e. over three years old). Diagnosis and certification will be carried out, in agreement with the Stella Maris Institute, according to the new regulations of the Consensus Conference held in Rome (Istituto Superiore di Sanità, 6-7 December 2010) and the PARCC (Panel for Updating and Revising the Consensus Conference 2007) published in February 2011.
Exam support
To ask for exam support, please send a request to dsa@adm.unipi.it at least one week before the exam specifying:
- the type of exam you are taking;
- the date;
- the lecturer of the course;
- the support required.

Welcome project
The aim of the project is to help students plan their university careers by making the experience of the USID and the DSA Desk staff available to them.
A questionnaire has been prepared to encourage student involvement in the University. You can send the questionnaire to dsa@adm.unipi.it.
Collaboration with Scuola Normale Superiore and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna
The University of Pisa has signed an agreement with the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna to support the two institutes of higher education in welcoming their students and guests with disabilities and learning difficulty.
