- Main research fields: thermophysics of buildings and HVAC plants, energy saving in buildings, Hybrid Renewable Energy System (modelling, simulation, integration, optimization, and risk assessment), geothermal energy, heat transfer in the ground.
- Author or co-author of 20 papers published in major international scientific journals or in indexed book series, and 7 invited lectures to international congresses and workshops.
- Involved in research and consulting contracts for public institutions and enterprises, such as ENEA (2011-), GSE (2011 - 2014), Geo Network (2012-), Aosta Valley Region (2015), Immergas (2016-).

ACTIVITY IN ENERGY ASSOCIATIONS
- International Geothermal Association (IGA): Member of the Heat Expert Group for the improvement of data collection and statistics
methodologies for Geothermal Heating&Cooling (heat pumps included). Member of the IGA-UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) committee for the promotion and the maintenance of the UNFC specifications on geothermal energy (United Nations Framework Classification for Resources).
- Italian Geothermal Union (UGI). BoD member (2015-2017). Executive Secretary (2015-2017). Member of the Scientific committee (2015-2017); Coordinator of the working group for the data collection and statistical processing of direct
uses in Italy (2012 - 2018).
- Member of FTI - Associazione della Fisica Tecnica Italiana
- Member of AiCARR - Associazione Italiana Condizionamento dell'Aria Riscaldamento e Refrigerazione
