Venerdì 15 maggio, alle ore 15.00, Mihaela Ion (Nuclear Waste Management Organization, Canada) terrà il seminario online dal titolo “Canada’s Plan for Disposal of Used Nuclear Fuel“.
L’incontro fa parte del ciclo 2025-26 dal titolo “International Webinars in Nuclear Energy”. Il ciclo è organizzato nell’ambito del progetto ENEN2plus, dell’European Nuclear Education Network.
Mihaela Ion is the Director, Safety Assessment at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) of Canada, overseeing activities related to fuel waste inventory and operational and long-term safety assessments supporting the Deep Geological Repository for Canada’s Used Nuclear Fuel Project. Mihaela Ion has over 25 years of experience in the nuclear safety and licensing of nuclear facilities, including over 15 years in the field of radioactive waste disposal. Mihaela holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)/Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Power Engineering from the University “Politehnica” of Bucharest.
