Programma IISMA ~ UNIPI

The University of Pisa participates in the IISMA – Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards programme, after passing the selection process of the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (MoECRT).

The IISMA programme awards scholarships from the Indonesian government to the most deserving students, enabling them to spend a semester at the best foreign universities selected each year.

As for the university career, the programme aims to provide students, also through contact with international academic and cultural realities, with some soft skills that are essential in the world of work, such as sense-making, social intelligence, innovative and adaptive thinking, intercultural competence, computational thinking, new media literacy, transdisciplinarity, project mindset, cognitive load management and virtual collaboration.

In the academic year 2024/2025, the University of Pisa hosted, in the first semester, 26 students selected by the MoECRT and coming from different universities in Indonesia, who will enrol as free movers.
