MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS:
- Physiological and biochemical responses of plants to biotic and abiotic stress;
- Biological control of plant pathogens;
- Targeted and untargeted metabolomics for the understanding of plant-pathogen interaction;
- Stable isotope-labelling techniques in plant metabolomics;
- Comprehensive meta-analyses and synthesizing research data;
- Metabolic phenotyping approaches for the early detection and monitoring of plant diseases and abiotic stress;
- Vegetation spectroscopy and the concept of hyperspectral phenotyping of plant stress.
The scientific activity is documented by more than 20 papers published in peer-reviewed journals (H-index 8; Scopus, Oct 2025), as well as several unindexed papers and presentations delivered at national and international conferences (also as invited-speaker), and the involvement in national and international research projects.
Member of the “Young Editorial Board” of the Journal of Plant Pathology (Springer); Guest Editor of a special issue of the American Society of Agronomy (Wiley); Reviewer of many peer-reviewed journals.
