Main field of interest
Petrology and geochemistry of igneous rocks from various geodynamic settings (Italy, Patagonia, Antarctic Peninsula, Western Mediterranean) with particular emphasis on basaltic magmatism. Ore geology and related geo-environmental issues (Tuscany). Development of new analytical methods. Geoarchaeology. Petrology, geochemistry and classification of meteorites from hot and cold deserts (Antarctica, Sahara). Impact cratering processes and products (Egypt).
