ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
His scientific activity has always been concerned with the study of materials: from the analysis of their properties to the development of techniques for characterization, processing, recycling. Such an activity, strongly focused on the aspects connected with the study and exploitation of electrical, mechanical and electromechanical properties, is widely documented by several publications among scientific journals papers, contributions to books and conferences, and also by internal reports and by several degree theses and PhD dissertations supervised by him. A list of publications can be found here: https://arpi.unipi.it/cris/rp/rp11699
Most recent research activities involve electroactive polymers (EAP) for muscle-like electromechanical actuators, mechanoelectrical soft transducer materials for skin-like sensors, textile electrodes for bio-potentials detection in biomedical and biomimetic applications, soft elastomeric composites and foams, rubber compounds, functional fibrous coatings.
