M. Eng. degree in 2006 for the Technical University of Bari with a thesis on Low-cost tomographic reconstructions. PhD with European Label and honours grade in 2010 for the Department of Electronic Engineering, Higher Tech. School of Telecom. Eng., Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), Spain, with a thesis on A modular data acquisition system for high resolution clinical PET scanners. Since 2008 he has been working with the Functional Instrumentation and Imaging Group of the Department of Physics E. Fermi, University of Pisa, and he is now a tenured researched in Applied Physics of the same department.
He has been students tutor for the Laboratory of digital electronic systems from 2008 to 2010, invited lecturer in Advanced digital electronic systems and examiner for the course in Digital electronic systems from 2009 to 2011 at the UPM. Since 2014 he is teaching Applied Physics and Medical Physics for the university degrees in Medicine and Surgery, and Dentistry (UNIPI). Since 2014 he is also teacher for the PET laboratory module of the "Medical physics laboratory" for the university degree in Physics (UNIPI).
