Member of the board of doctoral professors and supervisor of 6 doctoral theses also on various topics also related to climate change and its effects on plant biology. His publication record consists of more than 300 papers including highly-cited papers published in the world’s leading scientific journals dealing with phytotoxicology (e.g. Atmospheric Environment; Environmental Pollution; Water, Air & Soil Pollution; Environmental Management & Assessment; Environmental & Experimental Botany; Journal of Environmental Monitoring; Ecotoxicology; Science of the Total Environment; Environmental Science and Pollution Research), as well as with the application of eustress for producing positive responses in plants (e.g. Industrial Crops and Products). She is the coauthor of the volumes “Plants and air pollution” (in Italian, “Le piante e l’inquinamento dell’aria”, Springer, Milan, 2005) and “Principles of crop protection” (in Italian, “Princìpi di fitoiatria”, Edagricole, Bologna, 2001), co-guest-editor of special issues of Environmental & Experimental Botany (2011) and Environmental Science and Pollution Research (2017). She has been the chairperson of several national/international conferences and has given over 80 presentations/posters at scientific events. She served as reviewer of many international journals and as Associate Editor of Environmental and experimental botany (Elsevier) and Plants (MDPI).
Nali’s contributions to the field of environmental toxicology has led to his involvement in several projects. He has acted as the scientific coordinator/principal investigator of several regional, national (PRIN) and bilateral projects. Reviewer for international and national projects (PRIN, FIRB, Futuro in Ricerca, REFIN).
His university didactical duties include the teaching of courses on Crop protection and Plant pathology. She has served as the Secretary of the Italian Phytopathological Society (SIPaV).
