Alberto Pardossi (born in Pontedera on 4 December 1958)

1983: Degree (cum laude) in Agricultural Sciences (1983) at the University of Pisa.

1989: PhD in Horticulture (1989)at the University of Pisa.

1991: visiting young scientist at School of Biological Sciences, University of Wales, Bangor,UK.

1988-1998: Research Assistant at the University of Pisa.

1998-2001: Associate Professor of Vegetable and Flower Crops at University of Milan.

1998-2001: Associate Professor of Vegetable and Flower Crops at the University of Pisa.

2012- : Full Professor of Vegetable and Flower Crops at the University of Pisa.

As expert of physiology and growing technology of greenhouse and nursery crops, A.P. has joined, as projecte or team leader, many RTD projects funded by CNR (RAISA), MIPA (e.g. FLORPRO, IRRIFLORVIVA, AZORT), MIUR (PRIN), ITT (INESE), ENEA, UE (HORTIMED, FLOWAID, EUPHOROS), PRIMA (SIMTAP), and regional authorities (e.g. IDRI, ERBEVIVE, ERBAVOLANT by Regione Toscana) and other public or private entities.


Reviewer for several international scientific journals, e.g. Scientia Horticulturae, Agricultural Water Management, Italian Journal of Agronomy, Horticulturae, Journal of Experimental Botany etc.
