Circle U: IN-ROOTS – Inclusive Routes and Roots for Doctoral Communities

Dear PhD Candidates,

we are pleased to invite you to discover and register for two upcoming initiatives organised by two PhD candidates from the University of Pisa, Diana Domenichini and Elena Diana, within the framework of the Circle U. Flagship Initiatives on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.

IN-ROOTS – Inclusive routes and Roots for Doctoral Communities

A 3-day retreat funded by Circle U. under the Flagship Initiatives: Equity, Diversity & Inclusion call, developed by the University of Pisa in collaboration with Université catholique de Louvain, the University of Vienna, and the Detaills Living Lab. The initiative is organised by Diana Domenichini (PhD in AI for Society) and Elena Diana (PhD in Pedagogy).

The PhD journey is non-linear and deeply human. While mobility enriches research, it may also generate academic and emotional isolation. IN-ROOTS aims to foster inclusive, “glocal” academic communities by strengthening both global connections and local roots.
