Ecology and management of birds in urban habitat: development of methods for estimating the abundance of urban pests (feral pigeons and yellow-legged gulls); factors affecting the distribution and the foraging behaviour of pigeons; identification and testing of cost-effective pest control methods

Ecology and conservation of the Eurasian Stone-curlew Burhinus oedicnemus: factors affecting the distribution and abundance during the breeding and non-breeding seasons; impact of anthpogenic factors on the reproductive biology, habitat selection and foraging behaviour; phylogeography and integrated taxonomy.
