CURRENT RESEARCH FIELDS
In the following, is reported a summary of the main research activities currently ongoing.
Support to design of experimental facilities and to the execution/analysis of experiments performed at the ENEA of Brasimone, related to fusion and fission reactors. The involved facilities are LIFUS5, NACIE, CIRCE, ecc.
Thermal hydraulic analyses by the STH codes, SIMMER code and CFD codes of operational and accidental transients for NPPs of Gen IV and nuclear fusion reactors
Analysis of the phenomena at the base of the interaction between water and liquid metals of interest for FBRs and nuclear fusion reactors
STH and CFD codes coupling technique development and applications to thermal hydraulic problems of interest for the safety analysis of nuclear reactors
Thermal hydraulic analyses focused on WCLL breeder unit, performed to analyse the interaction between PbLi and water; Validation and Verification activity of the SIMMER code.
Actively involved in different EU Projects
