A traineeship programme is a period of training in a company or institution that allows students to alternate periods of study and work within the framework of training processes, offering them direct experience of the world of work.
Curricular traineeships:
- are aimed at students enrolled in degree courses, post-graduate degree courses, and PhD courses;
- are included in the study plan and take place during the course period. Traineeships for the purpose of completing the thesis are also considered curricular;
- are governed by the internal regulations of the individual universities, also with regard to their duration, in compliance with the relevant national regulations.
Duration
The maximum duration of the traineeship programme, including any extensions, may not exceed 12 months, except in the case of students with disabilities.
Allowance
The host party is not obliged to pay the trainee a monthly allowance.

Training projects and conventions
Administrative management, i.e. concluding agreements with companies/public bodies and training projects, is the responsibility of the university departments to which the study courses attended by the trainees belong
