For the 2025/2026 academic year, the contribution amounts to EUR 2,900 (except for health-area specialisation schools reserved for medical graduates and those with mixed access for medical and non-medical students) and is divided as follows:

For late payment of subsequent instalments (after the first), a penalty equal to 5% of the amount due is applied.
If you are a non-medical specialisation student enrolled in the academic year 2021/2022, 2022/2023 o 2023/2024 in one of the following health-area specialisation schools of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology; Microbiology and Virology; Clinical Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry; Health Statistics and Biometrics, the contribution for the academic year 2024/2025 is.

The above provisions regarding the stamp duty, regional tax, and late payment fees applicable to all postgraduate students remain in effect.
The aforementioned fee also applies to those enrolling in the 2024/2025 academic year, with the exception of the installment deadlines indicated in the enrollment instructions published after the admissions competitions.
The deadline for submitting your enrolment application and the application for reduction is :

By way of derogation from the aforementioned deadlines, you may submit a request to the Director of the Academic, Student and International Affairs Department by July 24, 2026, to obtain a reduction in your tuition fee, with an additional €150.00 late payment fee, in addition to those set forth in the Student Contribution Regulations for the current academic year, if applicable, for late enrollment, reduction requests, and installment payments.
The family’s financial condition is assessed on the basis of the “ISEE Università” certificate, which must be valid at the time of the request.
You can obtain the ISEE certificate by signing the DSU (Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica):
In all cases, you will receive a receipt confirming submission of the DSU.
The certificate must explicitly state: “Valid for subsidised services for university right to study in favour of … (student’s tax code)”.

If your financial situation changes significantly, you may submit a current ISEE certificate (see INPS guidance). Even if you have already submitted a certificate, you may send a new one to serviziotasse@unipi.it.

The deadlines for first-year enrolment and subsequent instalments may be adjusted depending on the schedule of the 2024/2025 admission competition.
In case of first-year enrolment, EUR 16 stamp duty must be added to the first instalment. Medical students enrolled in health-area specialisation schools are exempt from paying the EUR 140 regional tax.
For late payments, the same applies as for the all students enrolled in health-area specialisation schools.
Medical students in health-area specialisation schools are not eligible for any contribution reduction, with the exception of trainees with disabilities, with recognition of handicap pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 1 of Law No. 104 of 5 February 1992, or with a disability equal to or greater than 66%.
