Enrolment in Single Courses

Requirements and enrolment procedures

Students aged 20 or over, who hold the qualifications required for admission to Bachelor’s or Single-cycle Master’s Degree courses, can attend courses at the University of Pisa for cultural enrichment or scientific updating.
Enrolment in Single Courses allows students to earn up to a maximum of 25 credits per academic year.

Restrictions and conditions

Once enrolment has been completed, it is not possible to replace a selected educational activity with another if the course has already begun. However, applications may be amended until the enrolment period reopens for the following academic year, within the maximum limit of 25 credits.

To enroll in individual courses taught in Italian, a B2 level proficiency in the Italian language is required.

Fees and exemptions

The enrolment fee for Single Courses is EUR 200 as administrative costs, plus EUR 18 for each credit, in addition to a EUR 16 revenue stamp. Enrolment without payment of the fee is permitted if the applicant provides suitable documentation proving entitlement to exemption.

Administrative costs and the enrolment fee are non-refundable, except where the competent academic body does not approve the application for Single Courses related to educational activities included in regulated-admission degree courses.

The enrolment procedures and regulations for Single Courses are set out in Article 2.3 “Corsi Singoli” of “Procedure e Termini”.

Asylum seekers, pursuant to Academic Senate resolution no. 185 of 14 September 2017, are exempt from payment of administrative costs and the enrolment fee under this article. They may also exceed the annual 25-credit limit and take exams even after 12 months from the date of application.
