About Edvance

The University of Pisa is a partner in the Edvance project, the first Digital Education Hub in Italy for Advanced Digital Culture, created by the country’s leading network of universities and offering free certified courses for students, professionals and businesses.
The project, coordinated by the Politecnico di Milano, is funded under the PNRR call, Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 3.4 “Advanced University Education and Skills”, with a total budget of EUR 13 million.

Objectives and Key Actions

Edvance provides, free of charge, the tools needed to meet the challenges of the labour market and enhances higher education provision through:

  • hundreds of free MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) on the most in-demand advanced digital skills (data literacy, AI, digital sustainability);

  • skills certification recognised and shareable through micro-credentials and open badges;

  • comprehensive training across multiple disciplines: life sciences, economics, engineering, sociology, design and the arts.
