The postgraduate degree course Scrivere serie tv trains screenwriters specifically for serial television, providing a strong cultural foundation and a clear understanding of the professional dynamics that distinguish serial writing from other forms of scriptwriting for stage and screen.

The training programme includes elements of narratology, linguistics for spoken word performance, and performing arts law. These are complemented by lectures on stage professions and hands-on screenwriting workshops.

The programme is strongly oriented towards professionalisation and enables participants to acquire:

  • the theoretical foundations essential for stage writing, particularly in narratology and linguistics for spoken performance;
  • the fundamentals of entertainment law and introductory knowledge of the roles of the various professionals in the industry;
  • the writing techniques required for developing story concepts, treatments, and scripts specifically for serial television.

Career opportunities

Graduates of the postgraduate degree course can work as scriptwriters, story editors and dialogue writers, with a specialisation in serial television writing.
