The postgraduate degree course One Health in Sanità Pubblica provides interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in the fields of animal health, human health and environmental protection. Particular attention is devoted to the range of determinants highlighted in this report, with the objective of addressing current and future challenges through the design of innovative interventions aimed at promoting global health.
Professionals acquire specific skills:
- in managing infectious emergencies that arise from interactions among humans, animals, and the environment
- in monitoring and responding to emerging and re-emerging threats
- in understanding epidemiology and implementing possible prevention strategies
The postgraduate degree course also offers an in-depth understanding of the social, political, economic and ecological factors influencing action within a global multi-professional framework and in both local and international relations, identifying effective health interventions.
The training provided by the postgraduate degree course contributes to the pursuit of the Sustainable Development Objective of the 2030 UN Agenda: Good Health and Well-being.
