The international postgraduate degree course in Oncology Imaging is intended for graduates in Medicine and Surgery holding a Specialisation in Radiodiagnostics or Nuclear Medicine. It provides integrated knowledge of radiology and nuclear medicine in the context of diagnostic and therapeutic pathways in oncology.
In particular, students acquire knowledge of radiological and nuclear medical imaging in oncology, which also enables integrated management of hybrid equipment.
The training course focuses on:
- the physical principles of modern X-ray and hybrid equipment required in oncology imaging
- imaging protocols with optimisation of the radiant dose, optimisation of the use of radiological contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals when required
- physical principles and applications of biomarkers in oncology imaging
- the appropriate use of integrated radiology and nuclear medicine imaging in the various oncological diagnostic and therapeutic pathways
The postgraduate degree course also provides knowledge and skills in participation in multidisciplinary oncology teams.

The knowledge acquired in the field of radiological and nuclear medical imaging in oncology enables integrated equipment management for the enhancement of professional skills.
