Nurses working in critical care areas are professionals who face particularly complex challenges today. To deal with the everyday challenges of assisting patients with life-threatening conditions, they require technical, evaluative, relational skills, as well as a strong ability to work in a team.

This postgraduate degree course aims to develop advanced and specialised nursing skills in the field of intensive care, preparing participants to effectively manage situations characterised by high care complexity, criticality and vital instability.

Classroom teaching activities will also focus on fundamental topics such as the humanisation of care, the design of post-intensive follow-up clinics and the management of communication with family members.

Career opportunities

The postgraduate degree course is designed to train professionals to work in intensive care, emergency and perioperative anaesthesia settings, in response to the growing demand for specialised expertise in the field.
