The postgraduate degree course Sedazione cosciente ed Emergenze in Odontoiatria is designed for the professional development and retraining of general dentists and surgeons specialising in odontostomatology and maxillofacial surgery. The course offers advanced training in conscious sedation techniques, anxiety and pain management, and the handling of emergencies in dental practice.
The training programme includes both lectures and practical training: students will engage in simulated exercises for venipuncture techniques and airway management, receive BLSD training (AHA certificate), and complete a traineeship at the Operative Unit of Odontostomatology and Oral Surgery, with a focus on peri-operative clinical anxiolysis management in dental settings.
