The Cardio_Pet postgraduate degree course provides veterinary doctors with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in canine and feline cardiology. The programme is designed to foster a methodical and reasoned clinical approach to patients and at understanding modern cardiovascular diagnostic techniques and the latest advances in cardiological treatment for small animals.

Participants gain a comprehensive and up-to-date foundation essential for the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in dogs and cats. The training programme allows students to acquire the necessary skills and abilities required for the independent management of cardiac patients.

The postgraduate degree course also covers key topics such as professional responsibility, sensitive data management, effective communication with pet owners, and collaborative teamwork.

Career opportunities

By acquiring advanced expertise in canine and feline cardiology, graduates will be able to:

  • independently manage the most common cardiac conditions in dogs and cats;
  • carry out cardiology referral activities.
