Course features

The courses contribute to the 30 hours of curricular orientation required each school year by the national Guidelines on Guidance.

Target group: all students enrolled in state and accredited upper secondary schools, including evening classes. The organisation of the courses promotes the participation of students with disabilities and with specific learning disorders.
Duration: 15 hours, at least two-thirds of which must be in person.
Minimum attendance for certification: 70%
Period: September 2024 – August 2025

The courses offer an introduction to disciplinary areas in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

They are also open to the involvement of secondary school teachers so that orientation activities can later continue within their own schools.

Participation procedures

To take part in the orientation courses it is ESSENTIAL to sign a specific two-year agreement between the University of Pisa and the school.

To request the form, please email orientamento@adm.unipi.it specifying in the subject line “RICHIESTA CONVENZIONE DM 934/22”. You will then receive full instructions for signing the agreement.

Please note that from the 2024/25 school year, agreements will last two years, so those signed in 2024/25 will remain valid until 2026. Furthermore, students participating in an orientation course are counted only once overall in the 2022–2026 period, even if they attend several courses or take part in different school years.

For the 2024/2025 academic year, the University of Pisa is organising 15-hour modular courses:

Modules A–B–C (10 hours in total) will include presentations of the wide range of programmes offered by all university departments, seminars, open lectures, experiments, labs, TOLC simulations, motivational interviews and more, delivered by lecturers and tutors.

These modules will take place during the UniPiOrienta event, scheduled for 10, 11 and 12 October 2024 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Polo Fibonacci, Pisa.
